Jake Carter

President

2016-06-03 20.32.26Experience: Jake has been involved with construction in one-way or another his entire life. His Father and Grandfather were both established contractors in San Diego and Wyoming. From the time he was old enough to pick up a hammer he was hooked. Inspired by his family while seeing the craftsmanship and possibilities in construction, he knew there was no better path for him. He started his career in construction at the age of 16 with a family friend doing electrical work and has since done everything from concrete to framing. Jake has operated and ran construction companies from 2 to 34 people, excelling and growing with the principles of hard work and doing the right thing for his clients.

What do you love about your job?: There are three things that get me up in the morning and excited about the day. First is the progress you see on the job site. There is no other job that gives you the satisfaction that you get from creating something that will last. Looking back at some of the projects we’ve completed or seeing them again years later in pictures makes you feel good knowing you’ve made someone a quality product. Second is the excitement I get from clients when we show them what we can offer.  Showing a client a 3D picture of the changes to their home before it’s built and seeing the excitement in their eyes…..very rewarding. Last but not least, my employees. They share my standards and values of the company which is displayed in their work every single day. We are a very tight group that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Hobbies: In his free time Jake likes to be outdoors playing sports, riding motorcycles and camping with his son as well as spending time with close friends and family.

 


Shawnna Hall

Vice President
Design Project Manager

shawnna2Experience:  Shawnna has had a love of making things beautiful since she was a kid. Her first love of plants and gardening carried into the inside of the house and decorating. Shawnna was in the accounting field the first 15 years of her career and finally decided to switch direction and go back to school to earn her degree as an Interior Designer. Excelling in school, she took that success to her own Interior Design business and has never looked back. Over the years working as both the designer and general contractor, she has gained valuable experience in the construction industry. Her ability to not only provide her work ethic and job knowledge but also her personal skills with clients has proven to be a formula for success. Associates Degree: Interior Design, Clover Park Technical College

What do you love about your job?: I love to take something old, out of style and deteriorating and make it beautiful again. Being able to have a vision for my clients and bring it to life for them is the most satisfying thing I have ever done. Working hand in hand with our clients to create something amazing is the best part of my job. I absolutely love the construction industry and designing, I find joy every day in what I get the opportunity to do. Being able to help oversee the company’s day-to-day operations, projects and our employees also brings me great satisfaction, I work hard to keep things running smoothly and have a lot of fun with it as well. We have an amazing team here and I feel fortunate to be part of it.

Hobbies: In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, their kids and grandson. Shawnna is also a fitness instructor and enjoys running and weight lifting. Aside from that you may find her Gardening, Traveling to new places, Hiking, and trying out healthy new recipes in the kitchen.

 


Chris Sparks

Project Manager
2016-05-31 10 03 20Experience:  Chris has been building all his life, learning his trade early from his dad and later becoming partner in the family framing business.  He has always loved to create and build things and his eye for detail and desire to learn new things made him excel at his craft. Over the years he has gained a vast knowledge of many different areas of construction which makes him a very versatile asset to the company. Chris’ eye for detail, knowledge, experience and professionalism has led him to a natural fit as Project Manager.

What do you love about your job?  I have always loved to build things, from erector sets as a kid to building my own custom home as an adult.  I love to learn new things and add to my skill set, if I don’t know how to do it, I will find a source to teach myself.  I have always loved a challenge as well as problem solving and construction provides a lot of both which makes me strive every day to expand my knowledge.  Another thing I have grown to enjoy is that this industry always puts new people in your path. I love making new friends and working together to complete a project. Finally, I think seeing the project come together at the end and to stand back and admire what was accomplished with a great team of people gives me great pride.

Hobbies:  Away from work Chris loves traveling and road trips, hiking, fishing, weight lifting, playing the guitar and enjoying a good Movie at home with his family.
